Web Application Performance Testing
The purpose of testing the performance of a system is to ensure that the response time to user-commands is prompt and reliable regardless of the amount of users. When there are a lot of users working from one server the system can be slowed down considerably, which can be frustrating to end-users who are accustomed to rapid download times.
To ensure slow response times are avoided we conduct a series of pre-determined stress tests which identify how well the system performs under heavy loads. Our system testing programs have the capacity to overload any aspect of the application and identify weak points in the system structure that can be flagged up for improvements.
Our performance tests are designed to identify performance requirements and detect weaknesses that need improving. Automated performance tests are run by continuous integration server at least once per day. This allows to identify system performance degrade right after slow code has been added. Immediate problem discovery helps to fix it quickly because team knows what they've added recently and this saves profiling time.
Our technicians have valuable expertise in performance testing and we only use applications that ensure high performance demands are met. In most cases, we use Apache JMeter because we are comfortable in the knowledge that this excellent product will identify any negative performance issues on both static and dynamic resources. In addition, some members of our team have developed JMeter extensions and thus have an in-depth knowledge of the product and its full range of capabilities.
We provide performance testing on demand even if software development services were provided by other team. We have very good experience in such external testing and helping developers from other companies to prove their product performance meet SLA or to identify bottlenecks.
