Statistical Analysis

Today’s level of informational technologies and business tasks raise certain demands concerning software development. Data processing and its analysis have become an integral part of the process.

Our professionals have higher education in the field along with the profound knowledge of statistical analysis, and extensively use it in practice. Below is the list of main fields of statistical analysis that we work with.

Imitational modeling. Many books have been written, and many words have been said about it. It is difficult to find an area in which it has not been used. Any complex system has numerous parameters that influence, in one way or another, its work and resource consumption. For instance, it can be the inquiry processing time, memory used, processor time, hard disk demand, and others. Oftentimes, it is easy to describe the event processing regularity for each separate part of the system, but it is extremely difficult to describe analytically how the whole system works. It is even more difficult, however, to change it in order to calculate the optimal resource consumption while meeting all system requirements. We have had tasks that required us to model the system while describing the main regularities, and to calculate the element downtime, number of system failures, and optimal operation parameters.

Investment projects. The area of investment projects application is very wide. It could include taking decisions based on the current company’s activity, analysis of bank customer credibility, insurance risk assessment, prognosis, operative analysis of financial markets, etc. Our team has taken part in development and implementation of statistical methods for solutions of tasks described above in various projects.

Analysis of data that were collected during the system operation. In most cases it demands data collection, their comparison and analysis while testing: time of inquiry fulfillment, number of errors, and estimation of collected data objectiveness. As a part of their research, some of our employees have solved tasks of geoinformational systems as well as ecological monitoring tasks.
